Tiles, electrical and roller doors

Tiling the in the wet areas being completed today. Lucky the tiler was there so we could get in to take a look. All the electrical fit off is finished and power is on. The roller doors are not other ones we chose but are probably better. They are the contemporary design, not the caprice that we chose. Unsure as to whether they can put the Perspex windows in them though. If not we will go back to the originals. Plumbers should be back in this week to fit off taps, toilets, baths, sinks, shower heads etc. shower screens will take a while as they need to measure and manufacture to suit. 

Practical completion inspection should be late next week I reckon (hope!) from there anything to be fixed will be done and handover. Floors will take two days. 

Electrical, Roller Doors, Waterproofing

Getting close now. Electrical has all but been completed, just PowerPoints and lights in garage and outside plus a couple of data points to do inside. Will double check plans to ensure they are all there. Roller doors have been installed however they forgot to put the Perspex windows in the top panel which has been brought to their attention and will be rectified this week. Tiler starts Monday 24/2 and waterproofing around baths and showers was done Friday. Render needs to be completed out front as well. Had a few dramas with the cross over for driveway. There isn't enough gap between the footpath crossover and a Telstra pit. The pit needs to be removed. Whose fault and therefore job it is is still under conjecture. I feel that it is the developers problem as they didn't pick it up when the house plans were submitted. Anyway there are no cables through It yet so moving it shouldn't be a major hassle. Probably 4 weeks to go. 

More Progress

Cabinet doors have been added, the paint has been finished except for the touch up before handover. The bath in the upstairs bathroom and spa in the ensuite has been installed. The site supervisor has resigned from porter Davis this week and we have a new guy looking after the house. Haven't spoken to him yet. Hopefully no issues, all the trades are booked in through to the finish. 

Paint, Benchtops

Haven't done a post for a couple of weeks. Went up for a look this morning, most of the paint has been completed.  A couple of things we noticed weren't up to scratch so I will call the site supervisor Monday morning to get fixed. Painters are there next week so shouldn't b a problem. The stone Benchtops have been installed in kitchen, powder and the three other bathrooms. They look great, especially the width of the kitchen bench that we had enlarged in lieu of alifrosted overhead cupboards doors in kitchen. At this point it looks like late March handover. Colors in the photos look like the walls are darker then they actually are except the theatre which is a darker brown colour called 'koala'.
