Stairs, architraves, internal doors and skirts

Builders been working hard before Christmas. Should be ready to be painted in early to mid January. 

Cabinets

Plenty of progress over the last week. The fixing has begun and the kitchen cabinets have been installed along with those in the master ensuite, powder room and laundry. The platform has been removed from the void which now reveals the entry area which is quite striking, plenty of light and very open. Stairs are due to be built this week. Builder is working over the Christmas period until the new year so hopefully most of the architraves and skirts will be done over that period ready for it to be painted in January. The renderers have also been at work as you can see from the photos. 

Plaster Done and Garage Roof On

Been a bit slow, relatively speaking over the last week or so. Only one guy has been doing the plaster finishing and cornice.  It's obviously a big job, so has taken a while. The colour bond has gone onto the garage roof and portico and the tiles are on the alfresco. This will be the last week of work for probably three weeks and it may only be sporadic then until the end of January. Depends on the contractors availability. May have the fixing started this week, will wait and see....

Plaster

Plaster started Monday and they had hung all the sheets on the walls and ceiling in two days! By the end of the week all the patching and cornice will be completed.  Carpenters then return to build the stairs and plasterers come back and plaster the outside of the stairs as well as the ceiling in the garage and alfresco.  Roof (sheets) goes on the garage and portico from tomorrow and the tiles will go on the Alfresco this week as well.  Tilers were there today putting on the sarking and battens.  Lock up probably early next week.  Still flying along!
